Finding Comfort in Changing Times
To begin, I hope you and yours are safe and healthy. Everyone’s priorities have unexpectedly shifted recently but I hope you find comfort in the kindness and generosity on display in Pennsylvania and around the world.
In less than a month, many of our lives have been flipped upside down. Small businesses were forced to shut down, people are experiencing unexpected changes to their income and everyone is worrying about their health and the health of those they love. However, there have also been momentary bright spots in this time of darkness as well.
People are getting outside more while still practicing social distancing. Families and neighbors are checking in on one another more often…from a safe distance of course. School districts are working to make sure students have enough to eat even at home. Health care workers, police, firefighters and those supporting children and seniors are all working tirelessly to serve and protect our communities.
Our teams here at Verti are also feeling many of the same anxieties, but we’re lucky enough to be able to work remotely. 100% of our employees are working remotely to minimize contact and to ensure your service stays top notch. We’re adjusting to working from home on a full time basis for the near future, but it’s not the same as working next to our friends in the office, going out for a coffee break together or brainstorming new ideas on a whiteboard together in a room finding new ways to help our customers like you. We’re continuing to make Verti better every day, we’re just adjusting to the new normal right now. Here’s what you need to know:
- You can access your policy documents, submit and manage claims, make payments and policy changes at any time in your account online.
- Currently there is no impact to customer service and normal business hours for billing and service are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm. If your insurance needs have changed in any way, we’re here to help.
- Reporting a new claim is still available 24x7x365.
Verti is also providing a new extension of coverage to help others during this very difficult time. Some Verti customers may need to use their personal vehicle to make food, grocery, pharmacy, and medical supply deliveries as part of their jobs now. All Verti customers will receive this new coverage benefit at no extra charge. Normally this coverage would not be included in your personal auto insurance policy. However, these difficult times require temporary changes to be made so you can continue to work in this changing world. More information about this coverage exemption will be emailed to Verti customers or can be found in your account after you log in.
